About BCNA

The Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association is a non-profit California corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life in San Francisco. Founded in 2006, BCNA serves the residents, businesses, and friends of those located in the Barbary Coast, an historic, pie-shaped slice of northeast San Francisco running along the Embarcadero from Bay Street to Clay Street.

“I look forward to continuing my collaborative work with the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association, including securing affordable housing, protecting neighborhood-serving retail and ensuring sustainable and appropriate waterfront development. The Barbary Coast neighborhood is the northeast anchor for San Francisco, and the community’s input and engagement are critical to ensuring a livable future for everyone.”  – Supervisor Aaron Peskin
