Members and friends are invited to the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association’s annual meeting to elect the Board of Directors for the upcoming year and review our recent accomplishments. We will hear from special guests Elaine Forbes, Executive Director of the Port of San Francisco, and Supervisor Aaron Peskin about the future of the waterfront in the time of COVID.

The Board election will be conducted via online poll during the meeting. We encourage members to review the Board slate prior to the meeting.

On July 20, the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association hosted its second free online forum of 2020 on the topic of homeless issues and solutions in our neighborhood. The event featured experts Kristie Fairchild, Executive Director of North Beach Citizens, and Dr. Joshua Bamberger of UCSF and the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Also present was Sunny Angulo from Supervisor Aaron Peskin’s office.

State Senator Scott Wiener will hold a virtual town hall on July 21, 2020 at 5 pm. The town hall will focus primarily on the state’s COVID-19 response and where we will be headed in the next few months, but Senator Wiener will also provide updates on legislative issues and take questions.
