BCNA Endorsements for November Ballot Propositions

The Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association’s Board of Directors reviewed the local initiatives on the upcoming November ballot from the perspective of our neighborhood values, issues, and input from our members, including residents and businesses.

We have taken the following positions:

  • Proposition A (Embarcadero Seawall Earthquake Safety Bond):  SUPPORT
  • Proposition C (Additional Business Taxes to Fund Homeless Services):  SUPPORT
  • Proposition E (Partial Allocation of Hotel Tax for Arts and Cultural Programs):  SUPPORT

Please join the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association as we host State Assemblyman David Chiu and Supervisor Aaron Peskin for an overview of the November state and local ballot propositions. Don’t Miss NEXT Village SF’s Halloween Party on October 29!

The Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association is delighted to sponsor NEXT Village San Francisco’s super-fun annual Halloween Party on Sunday, October 29 from 6:00 to 9:30 PM at The Italian Athletic Club, 1630 Stockton Street. Featuring Hey Jude, a Beatles tribute band, plus a costume contest, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and plenty of room to sing along and dance. Grab your friends, join your neighbors, or come solo. Host your own table or join a table-in-progress. It’s a warm and welcoming scene. (Everyone will have a seat.) Tickets start at $75. Proceeds from the evening help provide support to older adults as they age-in-place in their homes in northeast San Francisco.
