Prop B Lawsuit Hearing on June 28 at 2 PM

A key hearing in the State Lands Commission lawsuit against the City of San Francisco will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 2 pm before Superior Court Judge Suzanne Ramos Bolanos. The lawsuit brought by the SLC, headed by Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, asks the court to overturn Proposition B, which was approved by over 58% of San Francisco voters in June 2014. Prop B requires voter approval before a developer can exceed the height limits on waterfront properties. Judge Bolanos could make a final decision at or after the hearing if she grants either party’s motion for summary judgment. If not, the case will go to trial at a later date.
