ICYMI: BCNA Forum on the Broadway Cove Housing Update

On February 9, 2021, the Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association hosted representatives from the John Stewart Company to present on the new affordable housing project located at 850 Front and 735 Davis Streets, now called Broadway Cove.

Did you miss the forum?  You can watch the video replay on our Vimeo channel.

Located along the Embarcadero in the Northeast Waterfront Historic District and Barbary Coast Neighborhood, these two new buildings will provide 125 affordable family units (850 Front St.) and 53 affordable units for seniors (735 Davis St.), helping to protect some of San Francisco’s most vulnerable citizens from displacement. The ground floors will provide community spaces, restaurants, cafes, a child care center, and live-work flats that will enrich and serve the larger neighborhood. The ground level retail and commercial spaces are planned for a restaurant and a YWCA-operated childcare center. Complementing the housing and retail/commercial uses are mid-block (paseo), landscaped pedestrian passageways with seating and a variety of open spaces on the ground level, terrace levels and roof top. The site is half-block deep to the east of Front Street and is part of the gateway to Chinatown and North Beach.
