Neighborhood Halloween Party Was a Scream!

BCNA was proud to co-sponsor the annual Gateway neighborhood Halloween Party with the Golden Gateway Tenants Association again this year.

The party was a big success with children and many adults dressed in costume in attendance. Other neighbors joined in the fun, eating pizza and handing out candy to the children. Following the party, the children went trick-or-treating around the Gateway townhouses and in the Golden Gateway Commons buildings across Jackson Street. The children had a great time and received lots of candy!

đŸŽ„We’ve got more photos and a great video of the party…see more here (members only page) or email bcna@bcnasf.org if you participated and are not a member.

On Zoom 10/18 —Personal Safety Skills to stay safe in our neighborhood

BCNA is sponsoring a Zoom event on Personal Safety with AndrĂ© Salvage and Associates on Wednesday, October 18, from 6:30–8:15 pm. You can register here: [bit.ly/PersonalSafetyOct18]. Early-bird pricing through 9/30; discounted pricing for BCNA members.

We encourage you to participate in this interactive and engaging lecture+Q&A, which will address the concerns we face in the Barbary Coast Neighborhood. (If you can’t make 10/18, register, and you will receive a recording).

You will learn the 3 skills every person should know to defend themselves—
awareness, assertiveness, and the ability to physically stop someone from harming you—with time for additional skills in response to your questions.
