Join SFPD at National Night Out on August 2 at Salesian Boys & Girls’ Club

San Francisco Police Department’s Central Station invites local residents to attend National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club, located at 680 Filbert Street.

National Night Out is the country’s united effort to promote neighborhood involvement to help stem crime. This is accomplished through strengthening

police-community relations and encouraging neighborhood camaraderie by hosting neighborhood events.

Join BCNA and GGTA at Co-Hosted Social on August 16 at The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen

The Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association and Golden Gateway Tenants Association are hosting a joint membership social from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16 at The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, 799 Battery Street at Broadway. This is a great opportunity to mingle with other BCNA and GGTA members and learn more about what these organizations do to enhance the quality of life in our community. Non-members are welcome to sign up for one or both organizations at the door and join the fun.

Enjoy $4 craft beers, $5 glasses of wine, and a special appetizer menu with items ranging from $3 to $4 — including light salads, a cheese plate, mini grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and freshly baked desserts. Co-owner Nate Pollak will be on hand to welcome neighbors to the restaurant, which opened the Battery location on February 1. The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen was featured in the July issue of San Francisco Magazine, and EaterSF recently named its farmer’s breakfast sandwich one of the eight “outstanding egg sandwiches in San Francisco.”
