Teatro ZinZanni Project One Step Closer to Reality

Today the Land Use Committee of the Board of Supervisors (Supervisors Malia Cohen, Aaron Peskin, and Scott Wiener) voted without dissent to forward the term sheet for development of Teatro ZinZanni at Broadway and the Embarcadero to the full Board of Supervisors with a favorable recommendation. Golden Gateway Tenants Association and Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association were among the organizations speaking today in support of the TZ term sheet. More planning and an Environmental Impact Report remain to be done before final approval. Construction of the hotel and dinner theater is expected to take about two years.
