In the classic baseball film “Field of Dreams,” the often-quoted line  is, “If you build it, they will come.”

This is happening on our shores.  The Port of San Francisco‘s longtime dream of a  modern new cruise terminal has materialized at Pier 27, and 2014 is a record-setting year for the number of cruise passengers coming to the fabled San Francisco waterfront.
